Job Title: Legal Assistant / Paralegal
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keyboarding and editing.
- Assist with case calendaring and discovery.
- Interact with courts, agencies, witnesses, vendors, and other law firms.
- Draft, review, edit, and/or analyze routine legal documents.
- Format legal briefs and other documents for filing with courts.
- Prepare and organize exhibits for use in depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Research public records and social media.
- Interview witnesses.
- Assist attorneys at depositions and trials.
- Request, organize, review, and summarize medical records.
- Occasional receptionist duties.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to problem solve and work independently.
Full or Part time Position:
- Available for either part time at 25 to 30 hours per week, or full time at 40 hours per week.
- Normal hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
